Two More Winners Enter Piney Lasky Fall Fest II Date Posted: 10/1/2009 (Smithton, PA) On the heels of four time track Champion Richard Mitchell filing a last minute pre-entry, two more notables are now in the mix to try and claim a $10,000 paycheck from this weekend s Fall Festival II at Motordrome Speedway. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series racer and CRA Series ace Jack Smith, of Medina, OH is now entered for the Subway Super Late Model Piney Lasky Memorial 100. The crown-jewel event of Fall Festival weekend, October 2-3, has drawn other superstars from The Buckeye State, but none more strongly connected to Motordrome. Smith, who s last start on the Smithton, PA oval resulted in victory, owns a piece of Western PA racing history. He won the only ASA Late Model Series race ever sanctioned at Motordrome (2006) in dominating fashion. Also just added to the entry list is Lakeview, New York resident Scott Nurmi. Earlier in his career, he was a semi-regular at Motordrome and this season has been a winner at the Shangri-La 2 Speedway. On one evening at the new Empire State oval in 2009, Nurmi won both ends of an ASA weekly twin-features program on the same night! He has several more laps at Motordrome under his belt than many of the other New Yorkers who will be competing. Don t forget that EVERYONE is invited to the Friday night PIT PARTY after heats and qualifying. Free food, free beverages, and D.J. entertainment will last into the night.
