RULES UPDATE-001-10_LATE MODELS-MODIFIEDS-STREET STOCKS
REV LIMITERS AND CHIPS

All competitors in these divisions are required to run a rev limiter style ignition assembly. You must use a chip style box or a computer set limiter style ignition assembly. Absolutely no hand adjustable or distributor mounted type rev limiter device is permitted. If using an MSD box style ignition controller assembly it must be the MSD 6ALN box. If using an HEI style ignition assembly, or a limiter separate of the ignition controller you must use the MSD Soft Touch rev limiter part #8728. These ignition control boxes or rev limiters must be mounted entirely out of the reach of the driver, on the right side of the dash, to the satisfaction of the tech inspectors.

All competitors, from the time that they enter the pit area until such time as they are released from tech or their feature event is complete for the evening, must have their rev limiter chip tie wrapped into its   proper location. Failure to do so at any time after you have entered the pit area could be grounds for disqualification from that evenings  event and a loss of any monies due or spent that night. The tech inspectors will be the only persons allowed to remove the tie wrap at any time while in the pit area or on the track. The tech inspector will have the final say in the proper job of tie wrapping. Any attempt to circumvent the ignition control or rev limiter box by means of switches, hidden boxes or any other means could result in disqualification from the event and a loss of any monies won.
